The Rev. Dr. David W. Craig is the esteemed Pastor of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, Fairfield and has served as its
Pastor since 1981. He is a graduate of Wenonah High School, the Birmingham-Easonian Bible College and the
Birmingham Theological Seminary. Pastor Craig holds an honorary doctorate degree from Grant Faith College. He
holds membership in several community and religious organizations. He serves on the Executive Board of the Alabama
Baptist State Convention and Lecturer for the Mt. Pilgrim #2 District Association of Christian Education.
Pastor Craig has received many honors and awards. Some of them includes: The Mayor's Visionary Award, Fairfield
AL; Outstanding Service and Exceptional Dedication Award from Congressman Earl Hilliard, Alabama 7th District; and
Community Service Awards from Fairfield, Bessemer, Muscoda and Brighton. Pastor Craig is responsible for the
spiritual growth of more than 1500 members. Two services are conducted at the church each Sunday, a contemporary
service at 8 a.m. and a traditional service at 11 a.m. Broadcast services are heard each Sunday at 10 a.m. on WAGG
"Heaven 610." Pastor Craig is the author of three books "Revival Begins With You and Me", "Why I Should Not Be
Broke", and Revival Of The Local Church. He and his lovely wife, Lauraetta, have three daughters, Kisha, Indrea, and
Alexis and two granddaughters, Aundreia and Ariel.
